Early in 2015, I was asked to divest in a property my employer was associated with in Northern Ontario. The property had multiple owners due to the many debentures which had been issued over the years, some as far back as 1956. As a result, the property sale involved not only dealing with lawyers who represented the purchaser but with those acting on behalf of Trustees as well. To complicate matters even further, I wanted to arrange a vendor leaseback arrangement for five months with the buyer, a large publicly held corporation with plenty of experience.

The task seemed overwhelming and I was unsure about where to begin, so I called upon Lisa Winston for help. From previous dealings with her, I knew about her high level of professionalism and keen eye for detail - in my opinion, two necessary requirements for this project. Lisa looked after every detail that was required to close the sale on time, and then created a unique, formal leaseback arrangement which protected all of our interests. What I liked most about dealing with Lisa is that she communicated and explained every step along the way in clear language that was easy to understand. Overall, I had an excellent experience and recommend Lisa to anyone who requires a detailed, accurate and sensible approach to legal matters.
